Featured Journalism School
The Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism is the only journalism school located within an Ivy League college. The School was founded in 1892 by Joseph Pulitzer and was the world’s first journalism school.
Located in Journalism Hall on Columbia's Morningside Heights in Manhattan, the school has the highest percentage of technology resources, per student, of any school at Columbia
In 1935 the school dropped the undergraduate curriculum. Today, the School offers three degree programs: a Master of Science (M.S.) in journalism, a Master of Arts (M.A.) in journalism, and a doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in communications. Each course is an intensive one year program that emphasizes the craft of journalism.
The school also awards the Pulitzer Prize and duPont-Columbia Award; co-sponsors the National Magazine Award and publishes the Columbia Journalism Review. For more information visit here.
